We were all very proud on Sunday when Skip was presented with the Scout Association's Silver Acorn Award during our St George's Day Service at Rochester Cathedral. The hard work and commitment shown to 24th Borstal scouts was only part of the reason this was awarded. The fundraising and assistance given towards scouting in South Africa as well as the time and dedication shown towards Buckmore Park Scout Campsite were also part of why Skip was given one of the highest accolades for scout leaders. The group have raised a massive £2165.96 today at the heavy horse show. A huge thanks go out to everyone who donated cakes to this event but a massive thanks must go to the committee members and leaders who once again gave up their own time to make this group fundraiser a success. More pictures...

Today a group of young people from 24th borstal headed to London at a very early time of 6am to help at the marathon.
