About the Cub Pack

Cub Scouts are usually aged between 8 and 10½ (although some may stay until they reach their eleventh birthday). We aim to help your child to learn to develop a certain amount of independence as well as learning to work and play as part of a team. To that end, the Cub Pack is divided into small groups known as Sixes and they work to a programme designed to help them develop the necessary skills. There are Progress Awards to achieve and Activity Badges to gain as they progress through the Pack.

The Pack Ceremonies and Leaders names are all based on events or taken from characters in the Jungle Books written by Rudyard Kipling. It is well worth getting a copy to read to your child as we unfortunately do not often get time to do so at meetings.

The pack leaders are: -

Akela - Bev Pryke

Leader of the Wolf Pack  -  Cub Scout Leader (CSL)

Shere Khan - Steve Crooks

Kaa - Lizz

King Louie - Carlo

Hathi - Lauren

Uniform

Cubs wear a dark green sweatshirt with a Group scarf (often called a necker) and a woggle in the colour of their Six.

Flag

The Cub Scout flag is yellow, bearing the Scout symbol and motto.
